In the spring of 2020 I shared a project from my senior capstone class at Portland State University on Instagram. It was based around my time spent talking with my paternal grandmother, Carmen, about our Mexican family lineage. That post led to an amazing collaboration between myself, Dropbox, and Instrument. The campaign itself details our story as well as many others and illustrates that files are more than just files. They’re memories meant to be saved and shared.
